Collection of general information

When accessing our website, information of a general nature is automatically collected. This information (log files) contains for example browser information, the operating system used, the domain name of your internet service provider, and the like. This data cannot however be attributed to a defined person. Said information is technically necessary to correctly deliver the requested contents of websites and is therefore mandatorily collected when using the internet. This form of anonymous information is statistically evaluated by us to optimize our internet presence and the technology used.

Like many other websites we also make use of so-called “cookies”. Cookies are small text files that are sent from a web server to your hard-disk and stored there. Hereby we automatically receive certain data, e.g. IP-address, browser used, the operating system of your computer and your internet connection.

Cookies cannot be used to run programs or deliver viruses to your computer. Based on the information contained in cookies we can simplify navigation for you and allow for the correct display of our website.

On no account will we forward the data gathered by us to a third party or link the information to personal data without your consent.

There is of course the possibility of viewing our website without the use of cookies. Internet browsers are normally set up to allow cookies. You can deactivate cookies at any time in the settings of your internet browser. Please use the help function of your internet browser to learn how to change these settings. Use of Matomo (formerly Piwik)

Our website uses the Matomo web analytics service (formerly Piwik). Matomo (formerly Piwik) uses so-called cookies. Cookies are small text files that are stored on your computer and allow us to analyze the use of our website. The information generated by the cookie about your use of this web presence is stored on a server located in Germany.

Your IP-address is anonymized immediately after this process and before it is stored.

Use of Script Libraries (Google Web Fonts, Better Font Awesome)

In order to ensure a correct and appealing presentation of our web page across all browsers, script and typeface libraries such as Google Web Fonts (https://www.google.com/webfonts/)) and Better Font Awesome (https://wordpress.org/plugins/better-font-awesome/) are used. Google web fonts are loaded into your web browser cache so as to avoid continuous downloading of the necessary fonts. If your browser does not support the use of web fonts, the content will be shown using a standard font.

The use of script or web font libraries automatically activates a connection with the library provider. It is therefore theoretically possible for the respective library provider to collect data, but presently unclear whether this happens, or to which purpose it should occur.

The data protection guidelines issued by library provider Google can be found here: https://policies.google.com/privacy?fg=1&hl=en-GB

You can access the data protection guidelines issued by Better Font Awesome here:
